View Larger This adorable monster is by Japanese toy artist T9G and is available at Toy Art Gallery as part of the “TxB” show. I wrote about it for my latest L.A. Weekly column, Cult Stars.
View Larger I got really excited when I saw copies of Hi-Fructose #23 at Meltdown Comics, mostly because I have a story in this issue. It’s an interview with João Ruas, who is an amazing artist. (You might know his work from the covers of Fables.) The layout is gorgeous, as is the artwork, so look out for copies.
Nicki Minaj pairs Shojono Tomo leggings with Onch Movement shoes(!) at KCA’s.
Shojono Tomo and Onch are so cool. I get really excited every time I see Nicki Minaj wearing their stuff.

More Shojono Tomo. I love the Heavy Metal Circus plush.
I went grave hunting today. In a private mausoleum with maximum security. And I saw Michael Jackson’s final resting place, and felt such an uneasiness as a certain part of the mausoleum, which I later was told was haunted. For rill, guys. There were chills, and they were multiplying. This stained glass window, called “The Judgment” sits at the exact spot of the haunting activity. More tomorrow in my column.
I’m kind of jealous of your assignment.
View Larger Paul Kaiju has his first L.A. solo show at Toy Art Gallery last weekend. I covered it for LA Weekly.
